Pedro Gomes is a visual artist and Vice President for the Association of Visual Artists in Portugal, a non-profit association founded in 2020 that brings together Portuguese visual artists and those who reside or work in Portugal. The main objective of AAVP is to promote and enhance the recognition of artists’ work as a highly specialized professional activity. AAVP also works to ensure that visual artists actively and collectively participate in the cultural and social fabric, particularly in discussions concerning political and social decisions, in order to support a critical and responsive creative society.
